How to Use AdoptMeTrader
Everything you need to know about trading Adopt Me pets, from creating your first trade to completing exchanges in-game.
Quick Start
3 steps to your first trade: Create an account → Set your Roblox username in Settings → Go to the home page and post your first trade! It's that simple.
Getting Started
Create an Account
Click "Register" in the top-right corner. Choose a username, enter your email, and create a password. You'll be logged in instantly!
Set Your Roblox Username
Head to Settings from the menu. Enter your Roblox username — this is required before you can post trades. Don't worry, it's only shown to the other player when a trade is accepted.
Customize Your Profile
In Settings, upload a profile picture or pick a pet image as your avatar. Add a bio to let other traders know about you!
Creating a Trade
Go to Enter Trade
On the home page, make sure you're on the "Trade Finder" tab, then click the "Enter Trade" sub-tab.
Add Your Offer
Click any empty slot on the left side ("Your Offer") to open the pet picker. Search or browse by category (Pets, Petwear, Strollers, Vehicles, Toys, and more). Click a pet to add it.
Set Pet Properties
After adding a pet, use the toggle buttons to mark it as Fly (F), Ride (R), Neon (N), or Mega Neon (MN). Remove a pet by clicking the X on its slot.
Add What You're Looking For
Do the same on the right side ("Looking For") — add the pets you want in exchange.
Submit Your Trade
Click "Submit Trade" and your trade will go live instantly! Other players will see it in the trade feed right away.
Finding & Browsing Trades
Open Find Trades
On the home page, go to "Trade Finder" tab → "Find Trades" sub-tab to see the live feed of all open trades from other players.
Real-Time Updates
New trades appear automatically — no need to refresh! The feed updates in real time via live connection.
Click Pets for Details
Tap or click on any pet image in a trade to see its full name, rarity, and properties in a popup.
Reacting & Commenting
Rate Trades: W / F / L
Every trade has reaction buttons at the bottom. Vote "W" (Win) if the trade favors the creator, "F" (Fair) if it's even, "L" (Lose) if it's unfavorable, or "OP" (Overpay). You can change your vote anytime!
Leave a Comment
Click the chat icon on any trade to open the comments. Discuss the trade, suggest counter-offers, or chat with other traders.
Accepting a Trade
Click Accept
Found a trade you like? Click the "Accept" button on the trade card. You'll be asked to confirm.
Exchange Roblox Info
Once accepted, a popup shows both your and the other player's Roblox usernames. You can copy their username to add them on Roblox.
Complete the Trade In-Game
Add each other on Roblox, join Adopt Me together, meet at the trading area, and exchange the pets you agreed on!
Message the Other Player
Use the "Message" button in the accepted trade popup to coordinate timing and details through our messaging system.
Mark as Complete
After the in-game trade is done, go to My Trades and click "Done" to mark it as completed. This boosts your trader rating!
Managing Your Trades
View My Trades
Click your username in the top-right → "My Trades" to see all your trades. Filter by Open, Accepted, or Completed.
Edit a Trade
On any of your open trades, click the edit button to modify the pets in your offer or request.
Delete a Trade
Click the trash icon on any of your trades to delete it. You'll be asked to confirm before it's removed.
Trade-In Pets for Robux
Open the Trade-In Tab
On the home page, click the "Trade-In Pets" tab at the top. This lets you sell your Adopt Me pets for Robux!
Add Your Pets
Click empty slots to add the pets you want to trade in. Set their Fly/Ride/Neon properties as needed, then click "Submit for Offer".
Wait for Your Offer
Our team will review your pets and calculate a fair Robux offer — usually within minutes! You'll be notified when it's ready.
Check Your Trade-Ins
Go to your menu → "My Trade-Ins" to see the status of your requests. You'll see Pending, Offer Ready, Accepted, or Completed.
Complete the Exchange
When your offer is ready, click "Open Live Chat" to chat with our team and finalize the Robux transfer.
Messaging Other Players
Start a Conversation
Visit any player's profile and click "Message", or use the "Message" button after accepting a trade. You can also go directly to /messages.
Chat in Real-Time
Messages update automatically every few seconds. Your messages appear on the right in red, theirs on the left. You'll see online/away/offline status for each player.
Check Unread Messages
Look for the red notification badge on the envelope icon in the top-right corner. It shows your unread message count.
Profiles & Reputation
View Player Profiles
Click any username on a trade card to visit their profile. You'll see their stats, rating, bio, and active trades.
Trader Stats
Each profile shows Total Trades, Completed trades, Accepted, Open, and a star Rating. Complete more trades to build your reputation!
Online Status
Green dot = online, yellow dot = away, gray dot = offline. Presence dots appear next to usernames throughout the site.
Tips & Good to Know
Your Roblox username is private — it's only revealed to the other player when a trade is accepted.
Each trade side supports up to 18 slots. The grid auto-expands when you fill all 9 initial slots!
Complete trades (mark them as "Done") to increase your trader rating. Higher ratings build trust with other players.
The trade feed updates in real time — no need to refresh the page to see new trades appear.
